The Drabble Week - 55ers and 100ers - day 1

What do I say?

The blog is dead! Long live the blog perhaps? But these challenges are a good kick on my not so petite rear-end to least do something to keep this brain-child of mine alive!

So, here I am with a week long challenge thrown by the Marathon Bloggers - a week of 55ers and 100ers with daily prompts.

Here are today's! :)

The Broken Promise (55er)

There she was, sulking and sad. Her tiny fists clenched tight and tears threatening to fall through her long eyelashes. She did have a penchant for drama – they called her their very own Drama Queen!
She was complaining about the broken promise – the after meal treat – that little piece of candy that was rightfully hers!

She fell flat on her rear (100er)

She finally found the perfect dress! More than that, she found the courage and confidence to wear it. After years of wondering how could she with her weight and that ungainly body of hers. It took a good thirty years for her to realize that this would be a regret too pathetic to have as she grew older. Imagine! Regret over a bloody dress!

So, there she was in her perfect dress. Feeling perfect. She planned to make quite an entrance. She entered the room and next thing she knew she fell flat on her rear!

Goddamn stilettos! Her Achilles heel!
