sometimes we are sooo sleepy

that we sleep midway between trying to get off the bed to stop Mamma from going to the bathroom! :p

or we find even the mother's bony knees and ankle comfortable! :)

Thanks to my namesake MammaMia I got a chance to have my story published! :) It is not much, but I am excited nonetheless! :) And how could I not share it with all you kind folks out there?! If for nothing else, but to have a record of it somewhere on my blog! :)


Cub has turned 5 and we had a huge (by our standards) birthday party for him. Detailed update coming up soon! :)

OMG! Almost 5 years! :)

There is a reason why Time flies is SUCH a cliched expression. You just cannot help marveling at the passage of time every now and then. It is always amazing to see how far one has come, how much life has changed and how everything around has made you a different person. Perhaps not in pure essence, but new roles and responsibilities bring out facets of your personality you have never known. The dynamics of relationships make you evaluate and reevaluate what you always believed to be right. You keep discovering the shades of grey in pretty much every situation.


Okay! I have no idea why I started getting philosophical here! :) I had decided to sleep on time for a change, but I guess I am on a blogging high right now and I might as well make the most of it! :)


Cub turns 5 in two weeks and it is so hard to believe it. I mean he is regular little boy now leaving behind pretty much every trace of babyness behind. I will write about the year gone by in another post. This is my attempt at getting our photos - His and Mine - in one post for a walk down the memory lane. For my sake.

This is when I could actually sit up and hold Cub two days after his birth! :)

Cub's first taste of chocolate at probably around 4months! :)

And first shaadi attended at around the same time!

This used to be our favourite position to enjoy each other's company! :)

And that is how he slept quite often! :)

Completely painless at that age. We would take him everywhere and he would eben sleep on tabletops! :) This is at one hole-in-the-wall kinda Subway! :)

His first taste of coffee at around 5months! :D

By month six there were smiles galore! :)

I had forgotten I used to this sometimes!

We had a maalishwaali and I would this occasionally as well! 

Making conversation that he had started understanding! 



I just realized that after spending over an hour, I have managed to scan just year one! :) I guess there are going to multiple parts of this kinda thing! :D

the much awaited HAL museum darshan! :)

So, we finally made it to the HAL aerospace museum in Bangalore this weekend. It had been on our wishlist for the longest time and some how the plan would never pan out. This Saturday, M made sure we got ready and were out before the museum shuts its door to visitors.


It is a gorgeous place. Large open spaces, green and friendly folks around. The airplane models are mostly in open space around the buildings and are easily accessible for one to have a good look. The basic information about them is mentioned on the boards next to the aircraft.


The buildings have different engines and miniature models of some planes. It also has a lovely installation of a pilot having used the eject seat and come down with the help of a parachute. There is a flight simulator as well which is a little lame, but kids love it nonetheless. The souvenir shop has a supremely smooth talking sales guy and you will rarely walk out without making a purchase. The shop has lovely models as well as toy airplanes and helicopters in different sizes and prices.


The bathrooms too are thankfully clean. Only thing missing is a decent cafeteria / canteen. There is a small one, but all it sells is chips and soft drinks. I wish they would at least stock some sandwiches etc. But then again on a weekend the place hardly saw any crowd, so maybe it does not make sense for them to keep stuff that will go bad quick.


There is a little water body with an even smaller bridge going over it and different kinds of fish swimming by. Bub was supremely excited about seeing real "Feesh"! :) So was Cub actually, though he might have been more happy about the little bridge!

Hope you folks are having a good weekend! :) The month ends today and even though I did not write every single day, I am happy i pushed myself to write on most. It has been fun getting back into the groove and I hope I will continue to be regular!

Some days,

The Bub pulls out all the dabbas from the drawer she can easily reach and fools around for hours! Must also mention that she tries to put em back as well! :)

And Cub who loves having people over wears the apron he has painted at the birthday party attended, uses gift bags as gloves and starts serving folks at home! :)

and we also find all the airplanes we own lined up along with some cars! :)

we also happily pose together every now and then! :)
