information overload!

Internet, the boon of our times! I cannot imagine life before Google happened. Anything you want, ask and tho shalt find. Then ofcourse with so much information available it was a task in itself to find what you REALLY NEEDED. Correct keywords was the only answer and yet not fool proof!

I remember when i was diagnosed with PCOs (Polycystic Ovaries) which essentially means, as the name suggests, have cyst on your ovary/ies. We read up on the internet nd it came up with results that spoke about PCOs causing every illness from diabetes to cancer. Ofcourse infertility being another of side-effects since your menstural cycle goes for a toss and in my case, i could not ovulate regularly.

Only whn you meet the doctor and he/she does tests and then you know how serious is your own condition. Today medication can make almost any condition okay. I too took some medication and was able to concieve.

Now that Bumpy is here, ypu wonder what next? You rad again. They say women with PCOs have 50% chance of miscarriage. You get worried sick again. You go to your doc on next visit and ask almost in tears. She says "All of us ave 50% chance. Dont worry!" You go back smiling.

First trimester over and you are reading up website about pregnancy and its preparation and progress. Again you come across, you can screw up even in 2nd trimester which is supposed to be easiest. Its like a never ending story...

Reading up on Internet about all these things is great, but dont fret too much about everything you read. If you think you have any symptoms mentioned or have any serious doubts, just make sure you note them down and ask the doctor next time. No use getting paranoid about things that are not really your area of expertise.

Bumpy, dont be Abhimanyu, and learn something just half way through!! There is a lot to learn slowly as and how time comes!

Google hai naah?!:)

Knowledge is a double edged sword. Knowing anything and being fearless is important.

As they say listen to everyone but do what you want to do!! Same is the case of internet. Read, learn but implement what your gut feeling is.

Trusting our own instincts is very necessary.

Sitting far away, I can feel how you must be getting anxious occasionally and needing to hold someone close... to reassure you that things gonna be ok. Well, the Internet is just a poor replacement for that somebody :-)

Today the birth of a new life has less priority than the installation of a new Fibre Optic cable!! We live by the dictates and speed of Machines-- and feel proud of it!!

Hope people would have learned to live again like Human Beings, by the time you grow up, Bumpy...
